Luís Costa was born in 1993 in Porto. In 2014 he completed a degree in Sound and Image at the School of Arts of the Catholic University of Porto. He has worked on various projects in the audiovisual field, and his two short films in an academic context have been recognized at various national and international festivals. He has also developed parallel projects in photography and music videos, among others. In 2020, he presented O Nosso Reino (Our Kingdom), an award-winning short film with several screenings at national and international festivals. In 2019, he founded Olhar de Ulisses, a film production company in Porto where he develops various projects in different roles, from directing and producing to screenwriting. In 2022 he presented Saturno, a short film co-directed with André Guiomar. In 2024 he finished Grito (Light Was a Break), his new short fiction film, which is now in distribution. He is also directing a documentary series and developing his first fiction series and feature film.
